Let their be peace, let their be love, let their be JOY

the joy note lo res

Words cannot express the sadness I feel and many others around the world feel about the tragic events that happened today in Connecticut and a few days ago in Oregon.

It breaks my heart to see so many innocent lives taken before their time.

I cannot imagine what the children went through today and what their parents are going through now. I pray for each and everyone of them. May they heal.

But in this time of incredible sorrow, there is hope.

There is hope that one day, all these senseless acts will stop and there will be peace on this earth.

And we can be that catalysts for change.

You see, it is up to us, each and every day to spread the love and the joy – to counteract all the negativity that is out there. We need to show people that our love and joy will not diminish, especially in the face of hate and terror. We need to show each other our compassion, our kindness. We need to show people that we are not afraid to stand up for PEACE, LOVE, and JOY!

Because each one of us is powerful. We can stand up for what we believe in.

This week…Stand for Peace, Love, and JOY!

Peace comes with compassion and kindness. Love comes with banning together as one and realizing that we’re no different from each other. JOY comes with celebrating our similarities and our differences together.

As John Lennon sang so beautifully,

Imagine there’s no heaven

It’s easy if you try

No hell below us

Above us only sky

Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there’s no countries

It isn’t hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

And no religion too

Imagine all the people living life in peace

You, you may say

I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one

I hope some day you’ll join us

And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions

I wonder if you can

No need for greed or hunger

A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people sharing all the world

You, you may say

I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one

I hope some day you’ll join us

And the world will live as one

Look for ways you can stand for peace, love and JOY.

  • Maybe it’s striking up a conversation with a stranger next to you in line.
  • Or maybe it’s talking to someone who is different from you and finding out their background and info.
  • Or maybe it’s saying “I love you” a little more often to your family and friends.

No action is too small. What you say or do can have a profound affect on someone and it can change the world!

As always, the conversation doesn’t end here. Let us know how you are spreading peace, love, and JOY by commenting below

I am truly grateful for YOU!

with peace, love, and joy!
