How to deal with energy suckers

2013 - Energy Suckers

Do you have people in your life that drain your energy?

You know, the ones who take a lot of your time – where everything is all about them.  They need just a little too much attention and help.  And by the time you’re done giving advice or managing them, you have no time or energy for yourself.

What do you do with those people?  Can you do anything?

Yes!  You can definitely keep those energy suckers at bay.

In this weeks episode of Simple Tips to bring JOY to your Life and Business, I share 2 simple ways for you to handle those energy suckers.

Energy is precious.  And we need to be mindful of our own energy levels.  You want to be surrounded by people who fuel your energy, not the ones that drain it.  Don’t worry about feeling obligated to help others.  It’s a noble trait, but it comes at a cost.

Although this may sound selfish, you are here to live your life and fulfill your dreams.  So build your life around those who are most important to you.  Value who you are and give yourself what you deserve.  In the end, you’ll have more time and energy for the things you love.

According to Nikola Tesla, energy is the secret to the universe.  He once said “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” (you can tweet this)

It’s a great point because energy is what you put in, frequency is how long, and vibration represents how you feel.  Putting your energy towards something positive frequently can elicit the strongest results.

So take a look at your life and see who is draining your energy and take action.  You’ll be amazed at how much weight gets lifted off once you reduce the energy suckers in your life.  And let me know how you took this advice and applied it in your life by commenting below!
