What to do when your plans fail

2013 - What to do when your plans fail

Have you ever had this thought…”Life would be so much easier if things just went the way I wanted them to”?  I know this thought has crossed my mind more than once.

It would be so much easier if everything in my life lined up perfectly!  I’d be where I want to be in my business and I’d have the perfect relationship!

But alas, that’s not real life. (Much to my dismay).

This week’s simple tips is all about what to do when your plans fail.

Failure will happen.  It’s just a fact of life.

Things won’t go as smoothly as you hoped.

The beauty of all of this is that it’s an opportunity to be flexible and adapt.

We get to learn the strength and resolve of our character.

This post is a perfect example.  First of all, my camera didn’t want to work for me.  What did I do?  Did I say oh well, screw it I won’t do a post this week?  No, I got out my iPhone and shot the video anyways.

By the way, this wasn’t the original post I wanted to do, I had another one planned, but I’ll save it for when my camera starts working again.

Also, when I realized I had another post with the original title (even though it was a different spin), did I scrap this video?  No, I changed the title.

You see, nothing is perfect (as I’ve said before).

You just have to be able to adapt with the times and navigate the best you can through everything.  Start thinking about how you can solve the problem vs. staying stuck on the problem itself.

Einstein once said, “The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.” (you can tweet this)

And he was so right!

So, this week, be nimble and adapt when your plans fail.  And let me know how you’re doing this by commenting below! I’d LOVE to hear from you!
